Beginning - 1979
The First Electronic game or Video game ever was made Tennis for two in October 18, 1958 By a Man by the name of William Higinbotham he created it on a machine called a oscilloscope as a way to entertain the guests of the Brookhaven National Laboratory. But It wasn't publicly known as the first ever game until 1982 when a magazine called Creative Computing picked up the information that it.

In 1970 begin Nolan Bushnell and Ted Dabney ( who would be the founders of Atari ) started to create a arcade version of the game Spacewar and renaming it Computer Space and in 1971 the game was released as the first arcade game and 1500 games were released but the public stated it was to difficult to play.

The 80's
In 1981 Microsoft created the MS-DOS or Microsoft Disk Operating System which was a personal family computer used to mostly play games many different versions from the 80's to mid 90's

The TurboGrafx-16 Entertainment SuperSystem, originally known in Japan as the PC Engine , is a video game console developed by Hudson Soft and NEC, released in Japan on October 30, 1987, and in the United States on August 29, 1989. It was the first console released in the 16-bit era, albeit still using 8-bit. Originally intended to compete with the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES), it ended up competing against the likes of the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis, Super Famicom/Super Nintendo, and even the Neo Geo AES.

In 1988 the U.S. got Super Mario Bros 2 which was originally a game called Yume Kojo: Doki Doki Panic which was re-built and re-worked into the Super Mario Bros 2 we know today. The legend of Zelda II was released In the U.S. the same year also being just as praised as the last one implementing the same save feature as the one before it but instead of an over view game style like the first it switched to a side stroller.

The best selling games of the decade was "Super Mario Bros" with 40.24 million, "Tetris" with 30.2 Million copies sold, and "Duck Hunt" with 28.31 Copies sold.

The 90's
The TurboDuo is a video game console developed by NEC and Hudson Soft for the North American market. The TurboDuo, released in October 1992, is the North American version of the PC Engine Duo, Japanese game console released in September 1991.In the United States, the TurboDuo was marketed by Turbo Technologies, Inc., a joint venture of NEC and Hudson Soft. It was to market NEC consoles in North America but failed to effectively market the platform satisfactorily.

In 1993, the 3D0 was released making it the First system to use only CD's for the system's way of operating.The Atari Jaguar was released by Atari Corporation in 1993. It was designed to surpass the Mega Drive/Genesis, Super Nintendo Entertainment System, and the 3DO in processing power. Although launched one year earlier, it was eventually in competition with the Sega Saturn, the PlayStation.

Sony made its first console in 1994 called the Playstation. After the betrayal Nintendo had put upon them to during development of the system they were creating, The PlayStation allowed brand new developers a cheaper way of getting there games published then going to Nintendo and by this debuting brand new innovating games.

The Nintendo 64 was available in Japan in 1996 but was not released worldwide until 1997
The 64DD ( sometimes referred to as the Nintendo 64DD), is an add-on for the Nintendo 64 game console. It plugs on the Nintendo 64's underside, and allows the N64 to use 64 MB magneto-optical disks for expanded data storage. Although it had been announced in 1995 prior to the N64's 1996 launch, it was delayed over the years, and then eventually released in Japan on December 1, 1999. With plans for North American release in 2000 being canceled and all Japanese sales being discontinued by 2001, it was a failure, and was never released outside of Japan

The 2000's
In 2000 Sony released its new console the Playstation 2. Bringing new and innovating games with it. Also being able to play games from its predecessor , the Playstation , and DVD's it was a great success and was a staple in video game history. A few months re-released the first Playstation as the PSone out selling all other consoles including its big brother the PS2.

In 2013 the systems the Ps4 and the Xbox One were released. The Ps4 released by Sony is the best performing console of the current generation with the most sales. And the Xbox One the next in-line of the Microsoft's Xbox Legacy. In the same Year the Ouya , a android operating system, was released from Boxer8.
